Our Father,
On this day, we grieve as a nation as we remember those who lost their lives, those who were
injured and the many who still suffer from long term health effects that resulted from the terrorist
attacks on our nation. We pray for the families who lost those they loved as well as their
dreams and hopes for the future. The grief and pain are poignant today, sharp and still deeply
felt. Stand beside us, Father, in our sorrow, pain and anger. Help us to make sense of the
senseless and give us courage.
