“Tomorrow, I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand…Whenever Moses
held up his hand, Israel prevailed and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. But
Moses’ hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while
Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, the other on the other side. So his hands
were steady until the going down of the sun.” Exodus 17:9, 11-13
Father,
The ongoing battle between good and evil in our own time often leaves us weary and worn.
May we support one another as Aaron and Hur supported Moses, by providing a place of rest
when others are exhausted and in need of comfort and encouragement. May we come
alongside one another, holding the banner of God’s Truth, His Love and His Answers to our
every need. May You steady our resolve to persevere in Your Calling until your ultimate Return.
Amen
