THE 1776 PRAYER PROJECT

Weekly Prayer Focus

“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
to whom belong wisdom and might.
He changes times and seasons.
He removes kings and sets up kings.
He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge
to those who have understanding.
He reveals deep and hidden things.
He knows what is in the darkness and
the light dwells with him.
To you, O God of my fathers,
I give thanks and praise…”.

Daniel 2:20-23

Weekly Prayer Focus

Our Father,
On this day, we grieve as a nation as we remember those who lost their lives, those
who were injured and the many who still suffer from long term health effects that
resulted from the terrorist attacks on our nation. We pray for the families who lost those
they loved as well as their dreams and hopes for the future. The grief and pain are
poignant today, sharp and still deeply felt. Stand beside us, Father, in our sorrow, pain
and anger. Help us to make sense of the senseless and give us courage.
Amen

Weekly Prayer Focus

Dear Lord,

I love my country, but it is difficult even for some Christians to trust fully in God when
we are raised to be self-sufficient and self-reliant. I pray that our nation will humble
itself and return to its forgotten motto: “In God we trust.”

Weekly Prayer Focus #13 #2 #2

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, to stand firm…praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.”

Ephesians 6:10-13,18

Father God,

Thank You for the reminder that we are never called to battle alone, for You provide all that we need. May the belt of Truth and the breastplate of Righteousness bolster and protect our hearts. Send us into our communities ready to share Your gospel of Peace. Protect us from evil and discouragement with the Shield of Faith. May the Helmet of our Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit restore and pierce the hearts of all those who hear the Gospel. Make us bold in words and faithful in prayer.

In the Holy Name of Jesus,
Amen

Weekly Prayer Focus #13 #2

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:13

Lord Jesus,

Nothing seems to make sense to us anymore. Each news cycle seems worse than the day before. We fear for our country, our communities, our children and our world. Our hearts cry out to You for understanding, for a solution, for a return to normal.

“But take heart,” You say. “That in me, you may have peace,” You remind, because You “have overcome the world.”

Like a scale holding two opposing weights, teach us to live in the kind of faith that can move mountains as the realities of our everyday experiences weigh heavily on our hearts and minds. Increase Your Holy Spirit’s influence in us, through us and around us. We submit our hearts to Your Sovereign Plan for all things.
For Your Glory and Honor, Amen

Weekly Prayer Focus #13

“O, Lord, you are my God.
I will exalt You.
I will praise your name,
For you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old,
faithful and sure.”
Isaiah 25:1

Weekly Prayer Focus #12

“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil. Hold fast to what is good.” Romans 12:9

Father,
We live in an “upside down world” where what is immoral is upheld and promoted and what is Godly is spat upon and “cancelled.” We need Your Spirit’s Strength to stand against the encroaching darkness with the Truth of the Gospel. Increase our ability to touch those around us with Your Love. Teach us to turn away from ungodliness and stand firm in Your ways. Bless us, O Lord, with eyes to see You and ears to hear and obey.
All for Your Glory, Amen.

Weekly Prayer Focus #10

Father God,

This day we pray, “Restore us again, O God of our salvation and put away your indignation toward us! Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to all generations? Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your steadfast love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation.”

Weekly Prayer Focus #9

“Look among the nations and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.” Hab 1:5

Lord God,
Create wonder in our hearts as we look to see how You are working in our world, our nation, our city and towns and our families. You are Creator and Sustainer of all we know. We praise You, Father. You have not abandoned us. Open our hearts to see and understand how and where You are working. Increase our faith to join you in the work You have already begun. Increase our faith in You to accomplish all you have intended. Bring us deeper and deeper into the Knowledge of You. All to your Glory.
Amen

Weekly Prayer Focus #8

“Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your Name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness.” Psalm 115:1

Lord God,
May Your Name be praised! You alone are Holy. You alone are Faithful and True. You alone are Patient and Forgiving. You alone are our Judge and Redeemer. May our hearts be attuned to the working of your Holy Spirit this day and every day. Not to us, O LORD, but for Your glory!
Amen

About Us

The 1776 Prayer Project is a non-political grassroots effort of prayer to mobilize unified prayer for America. We are looking for a group of people who love God and love America who will consistently pray for our nation. Be a part of the first 1776 people who will publicly commit to praying for America.

Our Goal & Vision

At The 1776 Prayer Project, our mission is to develop an ever-growing group of “patriot prayer partners” to earnestly pray for revival across our land.

We endeavor to enlist our first group of 1776 people to take time to pray. This involves taking a few moments out of your busy schedule to specifically pray for America on a regular basis.
